City, winners of the last 13 Scottish titles, top the table after two games, having beaten Celtic 2-0 in their opener last month, also at Broadwood.

The club has also announced that Scotland midfielder Hayley Lauder has extended her contract until the end of season 2023.

Lauder joined City in 2014 from Swedish side Vittsjö and has been integral to the club’s record-breaking success over recent years.

She said: “I am very excited to be committing my future to City. The team has been at the forefront for many years and I’m proud of what we’ve achieved as a club. It’s been an incredible six years and I can’t wait to continue.”
