After last week’s defeat at the hands of Albion Rovers, Clyde boss Jim Duffy added Iain Gray, Kevin Watt and Scott Ferguson to the starting line-up. Former Hibs man Harry Monaghan also featured as a trialist.

Queens started the brighter side and a powerful effort by Joao Pereira Vitoria was well kept out by Jamie Barclay.

After the break Clyde soon grabbed the initiative and notched up two goals in as many minutes.

Kieran MacDonald put the hosts ahead when he found the bottom corner of the net with a low shot in the 50th minute,.

The three points were signed, sealed and delivered in the 71st minute when Jame McColm’s cross was deflected by Queen’s defender Jamie Brough into his own net.
