Eight minutes in a Sean Higgins shot from the edge of the 18-yard box just missed the post in the best chance of the half for Clyde.

Higgins had an opportunity to find the net again around the half hour mark though his 30-yard shot just skimmed over the bar. David Marsh was also unlucky to see his header from a Mitchell cross fail to hit the target.

Clyde keeper John Gibson had a fairly quiet half though he did well to save a William Mortimer shot 17 minutes in and a Craig McLeish header in the closing stages of the first half.

In the 52nd minute a low Jamie McKernon shot from 25 yards whistled past keeper John Gibson into the bottom right corner of the net.

With Clyde’s heads down in the second half the side struggled to create further chances as Queen’s park piled on the pressure.

Gibson redeemed himself late in the half to save two strong chances for the visitors. Queen’s Park sub John Carter posed a threat 77 minutes in but was denied a chance in a one-on-one with the Clyde keeper. Gibson did well again 88 minutes in to save a curled effort from Woods.

Gormley pulled back a couple of chances for Clyde in the closing gasps of the game but failed to hit the target on both occasions.
