It was Queen’s Park defender Blair Spittal who scored the 93rd minute equaliser, stealing two points away from the Bully Wee who had been 1-0 up since the 53rd minute thanks to Stuart McColm.

“Obviously it is very disappointing to give away such a late equaliser,” said Clyde manager Jim Duffy. “Our players were under pressure at every stage of the match but on the whole they played well.”

Clyde are currently tied for second in League Two, part of a large pack chasing leaders East Stirling, and could bolster their prospects on Saturday when they host Elgin.

Jim anticipates the visitors will present a tough test of his team’s defensive ability. “Elgin are a very attacking-minded side and last season were among the top scorers in the league. They have good players so we will have to establish our presence on the pitch and dominate the match.”
