The tone for the first half was set with an early goal coming from the Blue Toon’s Andy Rodgers.

Bully Wee boss Jim Duffy included Ross McKinnon in a midfield position for this game, with Pat Scullion also returning to the team.

Clyde’s day got off to the worst possible start when, with only three minutes on the clock, Peterhead’s Rodgers latched on to a through pass and opened the scoring for the home side.

Bully Wee keeper Jamie Barclay had to react quickly to prevent Rodgers scoring again, and the score remained the same at half-time.

After the interval Stefan McCluskey and Kevin Watt were brought on in a bid to increase Clyde’s attacking options.

McCluskey came close to pulling one back for the visitors but his shot was well saved by Graeme Smith.

However, with only a few minutes left on the clock the game was sealed when Fraser McLaren fired home Peterhead’s second goal.

The home side’s victory stretched Clyde’s run without a win at Balmoor Stadium to eight matches.

Peterhead now have a ten point lead at the top of the Scottish League Two.
