Higgins has already been among the goals this season and will be hoping to hit the target again when the League Two side return to action after the international break on Saturday with their first ever trip to Edinburgh City.

But Higgins also has a new team off the pitch after joining the club’s Community Foundation, initially as part of the Carbon Clyde team.

Karen Welsh said: “Sean brings the ‘wow’ factor to our team. It’s great to have a first team player working in the community and Sean has a great way with the children. Not only does he understand the importance of getting Clyde FC engaging with the local community, but he also grasps the underlying concept of the Carbon Clyde project. It’s a win-win for the Community Foundation and l am thrilled to welcome Sean to the team.”
