CUMBERNAULD United began their season 2012-2013 league campaign in magnificent style on Saturday at Valefield Park, Kilbirnie.
Against the local Kilbirnie Ladeside, the bookmakers favourites to win the league, and, after a terrible start, the Cumbernauld boys produced a tremendous display to leave the home fans frustrated and shocked. After disappointing results in the Sectional League Cup, this was real encouragement to manager John Queen, his staff and the supporters.
