City are switching from their current Petershill based after Glasgow Life decided not to re-open the venue at the moment.

The club expect that situation to continue until the start of next year at least, but are due to kick off the new season next month.

Club manager Laura Montgomery said: “We therefore were looking to move to a stadium of the right quality to play our matches both domestically and potentially in Europe should we be drawn at home.

“Broadwood with its size, capacity to showcase games live on TV for our televised fixtures and of course new surface was a big attraction. North Lanarkshire Council were extremely helpful in making the move happen and made it clear they wanted us to play at Broadwood.

“Similarly Cumbernauld Colts were extremely flexible to accommodate our requirements and we are very grateful to both for helping to make the temporary move happen.”
