Joshua’s Liverpool trial is a Spanish stroll

The complete Reid family, Mum, Dad, brother and sister spent five days at Liverpool’s expense in a luxury hotel while Joshua trained at the Liverpool Academy. A Mercedes car transported the family when required.

On the Sunday Joshua played for the Liverpool Under-14 team against Manchester United at Manchester. Joshua played well and kept a clean sheet while on the pitch. When substituted to give the other goalkeeper part of the game, Liverpool lost a goal and the match.

So impressed were the Merseyside team that Joshua and his family have been invited back to Liverpool for a week in February and two weeks in April. Joshua has also been asked back to Madrid next year.

Joshua meanwhile continues to play for the Hamilton Accies Under-14 team.
