Top match in Lanarkshire will be at Robertson Park where Thorniewood United face Bellshill Athletic in a local derby with both sides out to bounce back from opening day defeats.

Thorniewood, winners of the Central League Cup last season lost 4-1 at Shettleston while Bellshill, back in the Super League this season after a five-year break, went down 2-1 at St Roch’s.

Holders Cumbernauld United got their defence off to a winning start on Saturday, beating Dunipace 3-1, but face a tough task tonight against Rob Roy who opened with a 5-0 derby win away to Rossvale.

Although the match is Rob Roy’s home game it will take place at United’s Guy’s Meadow ground.

Kilsyth Rangers play their first match in the section tonight when they face Rossvale at Duncansfield Park.

In Section 1 Lesmahagow will look to follow up their opening day 1-0 win over Lanark United with another win away to Royal Albert.

Lanark have no game tonight but Forth enter the fray with their first match away to Larkhall Thistle.

In Section 2 Carluke Rovers, who began with a 2-1 defeat away to new Airdrie side Gartcairn, travel to face Shotts Bon Accord.
