Mossend FC 1 Lenzie YC 1999 3

Lenzie, for the second week in a row, were slow out of the blocks and, whether it was the early Sunday morning kick off time or not, they made heavy weather of this for the first 30 minutes of the game.

It was not helped when a scything tackle by McAirn from behind put Ross Gillies out of the game and Lenzie were forced into making a substitution bringing on Mark McCreath.

In the 13th minute Calum Docherty brought down the striker as he met a corner and gave away penalty. Despite a brave attempt by Ross Williamson in goal the ball was placed neatly out of reach in the corner by Craig Lees to put Mossend ahead.

In 25 minutes Docherty was booked for a foul on Foye and Williamson saved the resulting free kick.

Five minutes later Lenzie were back on level terms a Scott McNairn corner being headed into the net by McCreath.
