Lenzie youths so close to defending festival title
Lenzie Youth Club under 14s are pictured at the Cumbernauld Colts’ festival with four new players in the ranks.
The Lenzie 2001 team were the holders of the Colts trophy and on a very wet Ravenswood the LYC drew 0-0 with FVFDL hosts Colts A, then beat top Ayrshire side Crosshouse 2-1.
In their final section game they beat CSFA Division 1 side Syngenta Juvs 2-1.
In the semi-final Lenzie lost out in a five-goal thriller 2-3 to eventual festival winners Bathgate Thistle.
Lenzie player of the day was stand-in keeper outfield player Callum Craig.
