Perry perfect for Clyde boss Ferguson
But while Sean Higgins was the match winner, it was a display at the other end of the pitch which particularly pleased manager Barry Ferguson.
Ross Perry’s performance in the Bully Wee’s first ever league match against City was described as “exceptional” by the Clyde boss.

Ferguson said: “I’ve got to be honest with you, I thought Ross Perry was exceptional today. He should be playing at a much higher level.
“A lot of people were surprised I took a chance on him as he’s had a lot of injuries.
“The boy just needs a run of games and that’s what he’s getting here so hopefully he can do that right to the end of the season.”

He remarked: “We didn’t play at the level we could today but the sign of a good team is coming away with three points when you don’t play well.”
The Bully Wee face a trip up north next week when they face Brora Rangers in the Scottish Cup- and Ferguson isn’t taking the Highland League outfit lightly.
That’s hardly surprising given that Clyde have gone out of the competition at the hands of non-league sides in the past two seasons.
He said: “It’s one hell of a journey but we go into every game looking to win and we’ll do that next week.”
