Queen gears up for new season

Cumbernauld United boss John Queen has been boosting his squad and is now looking forward to the start of the new season.

The Guy’s Meadow manager has brought in five new players, but says there could be others on the way.

Already comitted to United for next season are Chris Zok who signed from Renfrew. Chris worked his way thorugh boys’ club football in Kilsyth and Kirkintilloch an was a prolific striker with Renfrew.

Others who will be taking to Cumbernauld Village turf next season are Tony Fraser from Pollok, midfielder Scott Upton from Renfrew - who also previously played in this area - Andy Ward, who was previously with Rutherglen Glencairn, and Alan Clark from Ashfield.
