Rangers hit a high five in league opener
Rangers dominated proceedings from the kick-off and Joe Barclay tried his luck with a 30-yard effort, easily saved by Peat.
Paul McBride had the ball in the net after eight minutes but offside was given before a fine shot from Nicky Prentice was saved by Peat who was having to be at his best to keep his goal intact.

Hide AdRangers kept up the pressure and there were plenty more chances made with Paul McBride prominent and having probably his best game since he arrived and in 31 minutes he was rewarded when a shot slipped through a ruck of players and ended up in the net.
Two minutes later and Rangers went two up, this time it was Prentice who lobbed a ball over the keeper from about 10 yards.
Their were further near things but no more scoring before the half-time whistle.
However within seconds of the resumption of play Rangers had gone further ahead; straight from the kick-off Hepburn put the ball through to Paul McBride who got his second goal.

Hide AdBellshill were in disarray at this point and less than a further two minutes had elapsed before Corey Easton added a fourth goal with a shot from close in.
The goal avalanche was not over just yet though. A minute later Barclay was rewarded for all his hard work and effort when he got onto a pass to score his first goal of the new season.
Bellshill were stunned but managed to get back some semblance of order back into the team and on the hour mark were rewarded with a penalty when Andy Carlin knocked a shot out and it struck Graeme McLaren on the arm.
Scott Sally put the spot kick away to give the score line some repectability for the visitors.
