Rossvale 1 Greenock 2: Promotion setback for Rossvale
Looking to build on their win over Central First Division leaders Cambuslang, Rossvale dominated the early stages and a Kirk Forbes shot was deflected for a corner.
New signing Stephen McGladrigan, on loan from Petershill, was then through on goal but the ball was touched away from the striker as he went to shoot.

Rossvale kept up the pressure and Trussler split the Greenock defence to pick out Craig Holmes whose shot was deflected for a corner, from which Holmes
blasted a shot over the bar.
However Rossvale finally broke through in the 39th minute when Gary McGrath headed in at the back post from a Holmes free-kick.
Five minutes into the second period a curling freekick from Greenock was whipped across the front of goal and went narrowly past the post.

McGrath headed just wide from a Chris Dolan corner, but Rossvale had keeper Jamie Donnelly to thank for an acrobatic save to keep his side in front.
A bullet Darren Ferguson from a Dolan cross was just off target, but Greenock began to push for the equaliser and got it with 10 minutes remaining when Donnelly did well to get a hand to a low shot it but was unable to hold it and could do nothing about the follow up.
Worse was to follow for Rossvale in the final minute when a four on two attack by Greenock ended with an angled shot by Colin Gailey past Donnelly into the corner of the goal.
