Cumbernauld United enjoyed a very comfortable victory against Central District Second Division side Rossvale at Guy’s Meadow on Saturday in the first match of the Sectional League Cup.

The locals should have won by a far bigger margin over a spirited lower league team but were thwarted by an excellent goalkeeper, Jordan Bowkill, who had some terrific stops.
