Seventh heaven for Kilsyth in cup triumph

Kilsyth Athletic under 13s ended their season on a high when they won the Central Scotland FA Open Knockout Cup.

The local youngsters beat Lenzie YC 7-1 at Ochilview Park in Stenhousemuir.

Previous to their cup win Kilsyth were presented with league trophy for winning the CSFA A Division League under 13s, finishing six points clear of their nearest rivals after a hard-fought season.

This is the team’s first season playing competive 
football. The coaches are delighted with the boys’ magnificent performance throughout the season.

As well as their League and Knockout Cup successes the team reached the quarter-finals of the Regional Cup and the last 16 of the Scottish Cup. The club would like to thank all boys for their work all season and Paul Surgeon barbers and Signature Interiors for sponsoring them this season.

They hope to build on success next season and are looking for players to enhance the squad. Boys need to be born in 2001. If interested contact Brian on 07971 992851.
