United lose out to all-conquering Shotts

CUMBERNAULD United faced all conquering Shotts at Hannah Park last week.

This was United’s penultimate league fixture of season 2011/2012, their last game will again be against Shotts at Guy’s Meadow on a date still to be arranged.

After their recent tussle with the Scottish Junior Cup finalists which was abandoned at half time when United were leading the Lanarkshire team, the Cumbernauld boys were confident of putting up a good show in this match. Unfortunately United produced a disappointing display and were beaten by a late goal from a former player Andy Scott.
