Conditions far from idea for start of winter league

Conditions were far from ideal for the start of this years Kilsyth Lennox Golf Club Winter League due to persistent showery weather over the weekend of October 19-20.

However, Ian Currie managed himself well to top the scoring with an opening 45 Stableford points to take a commanding lead in Group Four.

There were also good scores from Stephen Friel who tops Group One with 38. group Two is headed by John Irvine with a nice 42.

David Coyle had a good start to the winter campaign also scoring 42 points to secure an early lead in Group Three.

An encouraging 75 cards were returned for the weekend’s opening which sets up nicely for what is a very competitive fixture.
