East winds hit June Medal

LAST Wednesday (June 1) Jonathan Leslie led the way in the first round of the Summer Trophy with a net 64.

The scoring for the June Medal was hampered by a blustery east wind, the best scratch score coming from the knowledgeable William Erskine, with a gross 74. The first class medal was won by Alastair Heeps with a net 71. June 4 Medal scores: First class – Alastair Heeps 79 (8) 71, Drew Jarvis 76 (5) 71, Paul Martin 81 (9) 72. Second class – James Brannan 81 (13) 68 (bih), Bernard McKay 86 (18) 68, David Campbell 81 (12)-69. Third class – Colin McKay 88 (26) 62, John Boyle 94 (27) 67, Daniel Comrie 91 (22) 69.
