Gary and Thomas hit top form

THOMAS Morrison and Gary Motherwell hit top form in the second qualifier for this year’s Kilsyth Lennox Golf Club Championship.

They both carded 67, their scores also counted for the August medal and Thomas pipped Gary on a countback for the scratch medal.

Young gun Darren Conway also showed his potential and will pose a threat in the championship with his best of the season 71. Michael Waters jnr. won second class and Patrick Livingston came out on top in third class.

Round four of the Wednesday Shield went to an in-form Grant Haddow, his net 68 keeping him in the leading pack.

Weather permitting, the third and last round qualifier is this Saturday, August 5.
