Golfing festival at Kilsyth Lennox

Kilsyth Lennox Golf Club Festival of Golf week started with a well supported open competition on Saturday, June 14.

Ideal weather conditions and a well prepared course set up by head greenkeeper David Stanners and his staff set the scene for all to enjoy.

Visitors had a good time claiming both scratch and handicap first places. Grant Penman from Hayston Golf Club took the handicap trophy with an excellent 69 and Chris McLean from Balmore enjoyed his round when winning the scratch prize posting 72.

The club would like to thank all visitors who entered the June Open and the Festival of Golf will conclude with the annual Civic Week Trophy on Saturday, June 21.

The winner will receive the trophy from this year’s Civic Queen, Natasha Hardie, accompanied by her two ladies-in-waiting Laura Black and Lauren McArthur.

The A Team had a comfortable home victory over Polmont Golf Club on Sunday, June 15 consolidating their top place in Division One of the County League.
