Ian lifts last trophy of season

Ian Swan lifted the last trophy of the season at Kilsyth Lennox Golf Club with a fabulous second round of 63.

His two-round total of 135 secured the John Smith Memorial Trophy.

Good scoring on Sunday, October 6 was difficult due to persistent rain throughout the day for the final medal competition of the season. However, in the three sections Anthony Wildy, Harry Hagan and Alan Summers kept their best to last to claim the divisional medal prizes.

Hugh Nelson claimed the scratch medal with an encouraging 69, and his consistency throughout the season also made him the runaway winner of this season’s Scratch Trophy,
