Relishing the fine set up Simon Thomson hit a splendid round of 70 to top the First Division, Toby McColl and Liam McLean shared first place when they both scored 67 in the Handicap Section, Liam taking the medal after a count back.

The early first-round leader is Eoin Brown, his score of 64 keeping him two shots clear of Harry Brown, David Kennedy and Ramsay Ross who share 66.
Another splendid round of 70 from Simon Thomson gave him the best scratch score in Division One.
