Summer season well under way at Palacerigg

The summer season is well under way at Palacerigg Golf Club and the club has been busy with team games, open competitions and the weekly medals and trophies to be contested.

The Men’s Open was held and the honours went to a visitor, Christopher Feeney from Torrance House Golf Club with an amazing net score of 60.

Two Palacerigg members took second and third places with Steven Peerless finishing with 68 and Sandy Cowe finishing with a round of 70.

The senior men’s open winner was a Palacerigg member – Bob Paton won with a 65, Len Grindorod took runner-up spot with 66 and Andy Urquhart was in third place with 67.

Congratulations to the members of the Jesseman League team who beat Balmore Golf Club over two legs finishing five up.

The ladies hosted the Swinton Trophy which is contested my married couples. The winners were Cliff and Sandra O’Neil, runners-up were Jasmine and Dougie Dorans.

The ladies played for their monthly medal and division one winner was Moira Mitchell, division two winner was Cathie Turpie and division three winner was Evaline Dunsmore.
