Winter league gets into full swing

MEMBERS of Kilsyth Lennox Golf Club have been making the most of the recent settled weather as the winter league gets into full swing.

Saturday, November 5, was a glorious day for the start of the competition and a large field took advantage of the calm, sunny weather.

The stableford competition is divided into four leagues and the winners meet in the March Finals.

Top first round scores: Stephen Freil (Group 1) – 36 points, David Barrie (Group 2) – 39 points, Jonathan Emslie (Group 3) – 40 points, Stephen Kelly (Group 4) – 36 points.

The presentation of prizes was held at the clubhouse on Friday, November 11.

Club Champion for the year is Hugh Nelson who had an incredible season with a clean sweep of trophies at Club and County level.
