World Team Cup comes to Westerwood

WESTERWOOD: The World Tam Cup 2013 is set to take place there later this month.

The event at the Westerwood Golf Hotel and Resort from July 21 to 26, where some 72 golfers from nearly a dozen nations will play for the coveted title.

Jim Gales, the founder of the SDGP, said: “We held a similar event in 2011 at Westerwood and had four teams of 12 golfers competing for their respective countries.

“This time we will bring together teams of four players and it should be a fantastic event, as recently we have held our Open Championships and players have competed from many countries, including Canada, South Africa, Australia and several European Nations.”
