Indoor bowls season gets under way
THE new season at Cumbernauld Indoor Bowling Club has started with all gents, ladies and senior leagues well underway.
The inter club league also started on Saturday, October 1 with ladies and gents against Balbardie and the senior men against West of Scotland.
Unfortunately both men’s teams were very narrowly beaten, but the ladies were not quite so fortunate and lost convincingly to a very strong Balbardie team, last year’s champions.
However, it’s only the first game and hopes are high for the remainder of the league.
