Indoor seasonnow in full swing

The new season at Cumbernauld Indoor Bowling Club is now in full swing and it is good to see quite a few new members and also more non-members using the facilities at the stadium.

Saturday saw the start of the Ladies Inter Club League with the Cumbernauld team hosting Alloa at the stadium.

The team had several new players in the team but there was no sign of nerves as the ladies raced into the lead from the start of the match with all of the four teams in front. By the halfway stage they had a very convincing lead which was never threatened by
Alloa.

At the end of the match Cumbernauld had one of their most convincing victories running out winners by 109 points to 42 points.

The match was played in a very friendly atmosphere and maybe on another day Alloa might have had a little more luck. However well done Cumbernauld and good luck in your next match.

Cumbernauld skips – J. Miller won 30-13; M. Hume won 25-10; L. Fleming won 34-7; A. Cairnie won 20-12.
