A narrow one-nil defeat to Alloa last Tuesday was followed up by a stubborn 0-0 draw against Annan on Saturday, meaning the Bully Wee have kept three clean sheets in five games since they were beaten 4-1 by Berwick Rangers towards the end of September.

Duffy said: “I thought Saturday was a fair result. Both sides wanted to stay in the game and there weren’t many clear cut chances.

“Obviously we appreciate we need more goals, that’s the hardest part of the game.

“As usual I felt the boys’ work ethic and determination were tremendous.”

A contentious refereeing decision saw Steph McDonald shown a second yellow on the 69th minute for diving outside of the box.

Duffy added: “Sometimes you get these decisions, it’s part and parcel, I don’t like to get involved with that.”

In a cruel twist of fate, following the departure of second choice keeper JC Hutchison last week, number one Felip Mentel has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a serious knee injury.

Clyde have no game today (Saturday) and return to action on Saturday, November 26, when they travel to Hampden to face Queen’s Park.
