Perhaps you’ve always intended, but never quite got round to, shedding that extra weight that creeps on as your jingle turns more into a jiggle.

Well don’t let those New Year’s resolutions and that renewed enthusiasm go before they’ve even got into full swing. Why not try a different approach and take up a different hobby, meet new people, get in shape and lose weight, all at the same time?

Come along and check out the new jogging classes starting on January 9 at Broadwood Leisure Centre and January 10 at the Iain Nicolson Centre, Chryston, run by North Lanarkshire Leisure in partnership with running network jogscotland.

Many people are put off this simple form of exercise because they feel foolish, vulnerable or are just plain bored jogging on their own.

However, within the support of a group, the activity takes on a whole new complexion of enjoyment and achievement.

This adult jogging programme provides great motivation and can simultaneously help weight loss, stress relief and promote muscle tone.

Newcomers or seasoned joggers, young and old alike, all will be welcomed by staff from North Lanarkshire Leisure who are there to assist and support.
