LOCAL coarse angler John Baird (17) from Greenfaulds has lifted the Magiscroft Fishery winter league trophy for the second year running.

Wellsfield Trout Fishery

ALL three lochans fished very well throughout the course of the week, due to the good head of trout stocked.

Biggest fish of the week was a 13lb rainbow trout caught by Hugh Morgan of Denny.

Best flies this week: Black & Green Fritz, Silver Humungus, Brown Dog, Yellow Dancer, Buzzers, Diawl Bach. Best baits: maggots, worms and small Mepp spinners.
