Kilsyth Lennox Captains’ days big successes

THE poor weather on Saturday didn’t stop Kilsyth Lennox Golf Club’s Captain’s Day being a success.

With many of the golfers dressing up for the occasion, the best-dressed prize went to Alan Martin who wore a very eye catching outfit.

A busy barbecue and bar at the 8th tee was a good venue to judge all types of swings. The Captain’s Prize went to Richard Monsur with a net 68 and proceeds for the day will be donated to the British Heart Foundation.

The Ladies Captain’s Day on Sunday was also played in good spirit in support of Breast Cancer Research.

The women wore pink wigs with matching outfits and pink cocktails were on offer to ensure they enjoyed a scramble. Bettie Winters, Ann Stuart and Helen Ann Barrie shared the Captain’s Prize.

Thanks go to Harry Hagan for assisting over a busy weekend.

The Thomson McCrone team qualified for the knockout stages of the league with a 3 and 2 victory over Dullatur Golf Club on Sunday.
