Kilsyth Open weathers the poor conditions

AT the rescheduled Kilsyth Open on Saturday, September 10, the persistent rain made it difficult for most of the 120 strong field of this popular competition.

John McHenry, a visitor, was the winner, shooting a scratch 66, Thomas Morrison was second in the First Class Section with a 68.

The Handicap Section was won by 60th birthday boy, Ian Marshall, who shot a nett 67. Bernard McKay was second in the section with a 68.

Credit to the green staff for keeping the course in a playable condition for the event.
