’Gow had kept their promotion dream on course last Saturday with a 5-2 win against Benburb and could have moved to within one point of Bellshill with a victory at Craighead Park today.

However, ’Gow manager Robert Irving confirmed on Twitter this morning that the huge clash had been called off due to the overnight rain.

Two promotion places are up for grabs to the Superleague and Lesmahagow are just in front of third placed Carluke Rovers but have four games in hand.

As for Carluke, Colin Slater’s side will aim to progress in this season’s League Cup when they take on Newmains - the match has been switched to Tileworks Park in Stonehouse because of the damage to John Cumming Stadium.

Meanwhile, Lanark United will continue their quest for League Cup glory when they entertain Royal Albert at Moor Park.

Kick-off for these matches will be at 2pm.

Biggar Rugby can keep their faint hopes alive of avoiding relegation if they defeat Jed-Forest at Hartreemill this afternoon while Lanark entertain Arran at the Racecourse.
