Local firm jumping for joy after brush with star rider

WHEN Cumbernauld firm Scotframe decided to sponsor an event at a British Showjumping competition, they didn’t expect to be presented with such a great PR opportunity!

For the winner of the event supported by the Westfield-based company was none other than talented British female showjumper Ellen Whitaker.

The competition took place recently at the Kingsbarn Equestrian Centre at Shieldhill Farm in Falkirk.

The 25-year-old Olympic hopeful swept aside all of her competitors in the Open Horse and Hound Foxhunter class.

After the win, Ellen, who got engaged last year to Superman actor Henry Cavill, took time to pose for this picture as William Marshall, factory manager for Scotframe, and his daughter Nicky presented her and her horse with the winner’s rosette.

Ellen will no doubt be hoping Scotframe are among the sponsors for London 2012!
