Millar and Wylde to take over at Clyde

FORMER Clyde player and Cumbernauld United boss Stuart Millar is to take over as chief coach at the Bully Wee.

And Gordon Wylde, coach of Clyde's under 19 side, will beocme first team coach.

Both men are, of course, well known to many Bully Wee fans, having previously played for the club – Stuart from 1986 to 1989 and Gordon from 1991 to 1995.

Stuart (44), currently chief scout and match assessor at Ross County, will take on the role of head coach at Broadwood after he completes his duties for the Dingwall club following the Scottish Cup final.

It is understood that he will then immediately start working towards the beginning of Clyde's 2010-11 campaign.

Commenting after the announcement was made on Tuesday, Clyde chairman John Alexander said: "This is the first of a number of long-term initiatives intended to secure a stable future for the club.

"On behalf of the board I am delighted to welcome both Stuart and Gordon back to active duty with the first team and we look forward to their influence right across the club."
