Mitch makes a comeback

CUMBERNAULD fighter Mitch Prince was back in action on Monday night after hanging up his gloves for two years.

South African-born Mitch made his professional boxing comeback against Lee Quinn on Monday night at the SAS Radisson Hotel, winning 58-55. Mitch won every round bar the last when he was floored by a right hand to the chin and took a standing eight count from the referee.

After the fight, Mitch said: “It was a good fight I controlled with my newly acquired long elusive left jab. My manager and promoter Tommy Gilmour was proud as punch at my performance and hopes to get me back in the ring ASAP. My new slick elusive style was well appreciated by the whole crowd. I am now at eight wins, one draw and one loss. The comeback has begun.”
