On a beautiful day with the course in great condition, Palacerigg Golf Club held one of their charity events to raise funds for Spinal Muscular Atrophy Support UK.
This event is also known as Finlay’s Day in tribute to Finlay Peterson who has organised this event along with his wife Libby Peterson MBE, since 1986.
The 34 teams of four took part on this fun day with a serious purpose.
The winners on the day were The Big Hitters – Davie Parsons, Cliff O’Neill, John McLaughlan and Derek Magee with a total of 161 Stableford points. An outstanding total of £4,073 was raised from entry fees and a raffle – £3323 for the charity.
