THE recent wet weather experienced in Scotland has not deterred 22-year-old Katrina Littlechild from her goal of riding from John O’ Groats to Lands End.
Katrina and her horse Cognac set out on June 29, 2012 to face this challenge of a lifetime. After Katrina’s nephew Noah was born with a hole in his heart, she felt a ride the length of the UK would help to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation.
And Katrina and Cognac, from Sussex, arrived at Tannoch Stables in Cumbernauld last week, very wet indeed.
After a good night’s sleep and some unexpected sunny weather she left Tannoch the next morning for Carluke, bright and breezy, as you can been seen from the picture (right).
