Nothing has changed

CLYDE manager John McCormack says the opportunity to lift themselves off the bottom of the table is all his players need to get motivated for Saturday's relegation dog-fight with Arbroath.

The Broadwood boss believes they have learned from the disappointment of missing a chance to go ninth against Stenhousemuir.

"We had a chance to get off the bottom of the table last Saturday and we didn't take it," he said. "We need to maintain our focus and play our own way - that didn't happen at times against Stenhousemuir.

"We know against Arbroath this Saturday we have another chance to go above them if we win so that's a big big incentive. From now until the end of the season we have to make sure we are fully focused because every single game is big for us."

The Bully Wee are currently two points adrift of Arbroath at the bottom of the table but with two games in hand – something Cowboy feels gives his side an advantage.

He continued: "We've got 17 games left – that's a possible 51 points. We need to start well on Saturday against Arbroath and concentrate for 90 minutes to make sure we get the points and get climbing this league table.

"The fans obviously want to see results and I think things are improving – we're playing better football and the results will follow on from that.

"I said I'd do a job when I started and that's what I'm here to do, nothing has changed."
