Rangers pick up wins against east sides

KILSYTH Rangers continued their pre-season fixtures with home wins against Armadale and Livingston Juniors.

The former visited Duncansfield last Wednesday with Rangers recording a narrow 2-1 win.

The opener came from Joe Barclay just after the interval with Steven McPeake adding another late in the game. Armadale pulled one back in the last minute.

This was a good workout for the squad which had several changes from the one that beat Darvel 2-0 on the previous weekend.

Saturday saw Rangers record a hard fought victory over Livingston to make it three wins out of three.

The only goal of the game came late on when Graeme Tough sent a low drive to the net following an in-direct free-kick.

Again a good showing with signs that a team is emerging from a squad which includes seven new faces.

Interestingly, former Duncansfield favourite Andy Scott made an appearance in the second half.

Scott, who is transfer listed by Bo'ness United, received a warm welcome from the fans. Could he be on his way back? Watch this space.
