Scotland's new caps should be pleased

ALTHOUGH finishing third at the British Isles Under-25 International Series at the Provincial Towns Indoor Bowling Club, Belfast, at the weekend, Scotland's seven new caps in the team can be well pleased with their contribution throughout the series.

Scotland, in their opening game against Ireland on Saturday morning, had a convincing win by 109 shots to 73.

However, in the afternoon Scotland against Wales had a horrible opening 15 ends. After five ends Scotland trailed by 32-4, ten ends 48-25, and 66-50 after 15 ends. From that point Scotland took control of the game and in a nail biting finish Wales just held on to win the game by 83-82.
