Six Reds Tourney

SUNDAY night at the Red Triangle saw the Six Reds Tourney take place. A total of 18 players turned out to take part.

First round results as follows: Andy Jackson 3, Davie Hutchison 1; John Malcolm 3, Stuart Miller 2; Ewan Patterson 3, Scott Davidson 1.

Second round: Kevin Glen 3, Andy Jackson 1; Martyn Shields 3, Gary Coats 1; Ryan Davie 3, Willie Scott 2; Martin Cook 3, John Malcolm 1; John Dempster 3, Colin Blair 1; Ross Higgins 3, Billy Reid 0; Pat Killen 3, Dougy Fraser 0; Wes Fox 3, Ewan Patterson 0.

Quarter Finals: Kevin Glen 1, Martyn Shields 3; Martin Cook 3, Ryan Davie 2; John Dempster 3, Ross Higgins 1; Wes Fox 3, Pat Killen 0.

Semi finals: Martyn Shields 3, Martin Cook 1; Wes Fox 3, John Dempster 2.

In the final Wes Fox went head to head with Martyn Shields. In a closely contested final Martyn came out on top to take the title.

Also a special mention to the Red Triangle Snooker Club 11-man team who travelled to the Ayr Davis Snooker Club on Sunday to play in the return friendly challenge match. The team consisting of Kevin Glen, Martin Cook, Ross Higgins, Gordon McKinstrey, Dougy Fraser, Gerry Armstrong, Billy Reid, Scott Davidson, Willie Scott, Martyn Shields and John Dempster battled their way to a 21-14 victory.

Sunday night there will be a doubles tourney, names 6.15 for a 6.30pm start. All welcome.
