Tannoch hosts Uni competition

Showjumpers descended on Cumbernauld last week to take part in a prestigious competition.

The British Universities League competition saw teams from Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee and Strathclyde Universities take to the arena in an exciting contest at Tannoch Stables, Palacerigg.

Glasgow fielded a team consisting Aaron Tay, Sophia Pistoni, Lisa Langridge and Charlene Cooper, while Edinburgh’s line-up was Kathleen Rattray, Rachel Robertson, Sophie Janus and Cathy Comerford.

In the team competition first place went to Edinburgh University, with second spot being taken by Glasgow University.

Dundee were in third place and Strathclyde came in fourth.

In the individual event first was Aaron Tay (Glasgow), second place went to Cathy Comerford (Edinburgh) and third spot was taken by Kethleen Rattray of Edinburgh.
