Winter League action

FOLLOWING a series of wet weekends, Kilsyth Lennox Golf Club’s Winter League finally seen some action on the last weekend of 2011.

The underfoot conditions were perfect to break in the new Christmas golf shoes and wet suits.

John Love must have been wrapped up better than most after scoring 36 points, but Robert Blackwood and Andy Green kept in touch scoring 32 and 31 respectively.

It was encouraging to see a large number of members and visitors enjoying their walk.

More points appear to have been scored in the bar than on the course in recent weeks!

A slight disruption will be caused to members during the essential drainage works on various areas of the course which will be ongoing during the winter period.

A reminder to members and visitors that electric trollies are allowed during the winter period.

The committee would like to thank all members and visitors for the support over the last year and look forward to a good 2012.
