The day the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh came to Cumbernauld!
Here is a second glimpse into the history of Cumbernauld which saw both The Queen and Prince Philip introduced to the concept of a Scottish new town – and more importantly, its people.
Like that on this week’s front page, this has been kindly provided by journalist and author Mike Kernan who witnessed the scene as a child and even met Her Majesty the Queen in the process.
