Get Into Drama presents showcase at Cumbernauld Theatre

Get Into Drama, a local drama group for people with learning disabilities, recently held a showcase of its work at Cumbernauld Theatre.

Get Into Drama is run by Karen Herbison from H-Arts on behalf of ENABLE Scotland, with the support of ENABLE Scotland personal assistants Jim Gray and Scott Anderson.

Karen said: “The performance was terrific, but what’s equally important is the progress individuals in the group have made, including how they are all interacting with each other, They’re a great bunch of people.”

Lindsay Wards of ENABLE Scotland added: “This was the group’s first ever show on a proper stage and we hope it won’t be the last. To see the group work together on stage, you wouldn’t recognise them from a while back – they have much more confidence and self esteem.”
