The local community, North Lanarkshire Council and its arms-length company CultureNL have created a playpark with kickabout area, dog-proof fencing and goals for seven-a-side games. The project also includes a natural play area, climbing structures and more.

Martin Dickson, regeneration manager for the council’s Local Development Programme said: “We are delighted to see the opening of this new play facility in Abronhill. Together with the first-phase facilities and kickabout area, it will allow children and young people to enjoy adventurous play.”
